William S. Burroughs: The Cat Inside

Ginger plays Pantapon Rose, an old madame in a St. Louis sporting house on Westminster. She always shunted me into a curtianed alcove on the way out, lest I meet one of my father's friends on the way in. A hard, practical woman from a farm family in the Ozarks. Ginger was Ruski's old lady, always around. So I started feeding her and hoping she would go away. How American of me: "Who's that at the door? Give her some money. Send her away." Of course she din't go away. Instead, she dropped four brown-orange kittens on the back porch, all replicas of herself. I doubt if Ruski was involved. My friend Patricia Marvin managed to give them all away without any fuss - one of the advantages of living in a small town. You get to know friendly, helpful people.

Björk - Wanderlust

I am leaving this harbour
Giving urban a farewell
Its habitants seem to keen on God
I cannot stomach their rights and wrongs

I have lost my origin
And I don't want to find it again
Whether sailing into nature's laws
And be held by ocean's paws

Wanderlust! relentlessly craving
Wanderlust! peel off the layers
Until we get to the core

Did I imagine it would be like this?
Was it something like this I wished for?
Or will I want more?

Lust for comfort
Suffocates the soul
Relentless restlessness
Liberates me (sets me free)

I feel at home
Whenever the unknown surrounds me
I receive its embrace
Aboard my floating house

Wanderlust! relentlessly craving
Wanderlust! peel off the layers
Until we get to the core

Did I imagine it would be like this?
Was it something like this I wished for?
Or will I want more?

Wanderlust! from island to island
Wanderlust! united in movement
Wonderful! I'm joined with you

Wanderlust!

Can you spot a pattern?

(relentlessly restless)

Omahyra Mota Garcia

New stuff: John Cage (again)

And I got this highly treasured and otherwise quite expensive collectible book for a very good price.

Maayan Keret

New stuff: John Cage

This is my first purchase of a volume from the Complete John Cage edition. I'm starting with Vol. 34, since it includes his masterpiece Sonatas and Interludes.

Liza Medzko

Bad Boys (1995)

Two hip detectives protect a murder witness while investigating a case of stolen heroin.

A black variation of the Starsky & Hutch shtick, but much louder, more vulgar and with a large budget which allows for much more violent action and destruction.

Nyasha Matonhodze

New Stuff: An Anthology Of Noise and Electronic Music

And I purchased the next volume in this series.

Ji Lili

Next (2007)

A Las Vegas magician who can see into the future is pursued by FBI agents seeking to use his abilities to prevent a nuclear terrorist attack.

A no longer original idea is treated like a standard action thriller.

Anastassija Makarenko

New Stuff: As Serious As Your Life

This is a classic book on avantgarde jazz of the 60s.
