Midnight (1934)

A jury foreman's questioning leads to the death sentence for a young woman, after which his daughter Stella claims to have killed her lover.

Imaginatively photographed in an Expressionist style the movie is quite slow-paced and stage-bound and deals with a quite dubious moral message.

Halliwell (no stars): "Tepid family melodrama, quite stagebound."
