Zero Dark Thirty (2012)

A chronicle of the decade-long hunt for al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden after the September 2001 attacks, and his death at the hands of the Navy S.E.A.L. Team 6 in May 2011.

A docudrama, highly professionally produced in all departments, that does consture one single hero within the complexity of the pursuit and leaves all moral implications wide open.

Maltin***1/2: "Gripping chronicle...A journalistic-style peek behind the scenes by writer Mark Boal, brought to life with authenticity and immediacy by director Bigelow - a fine follow-up to their collaboration on THE HURT LOCKER. By personalizing the story we have someone to identify with and root for...so much so that by the time the lengthy film recreates the actual Navy SEAL mission to eliminate "UBL" it's almost anticlimatic."
