Room 237 (2012)

An exploration of various interpretations of Stanley Kubrick's horror film, The Shining (1980).

Intriguing and occasionally funny documentary of some oddball and hair-splitting interpretations of a cinematic masterpiece; ironically, most of the 'evidence' is based on deleted scenes from the unauthorized longer version of the movie and not on Kubrick's final cut.

Maltin***: "Entertaining piece of revisionist, frame-by-frame film scholarship for the DVD/internet generation is the movie equivalent of an obsessed fanboy's blog."
