Glengarry Glen Ross (1992)

An examination of the machinations behind the scenes at a real estate office.

Although this adaptation of a play doesn't conceal that it's stage-bound, clever direction and a stellar cast of stars at their best make this a movie a memorable experience.

Halliwell**: "A brilliant stage play seems a little claustrophobic on its transfer to the screen, but provides opportunities for some excellent acting."

Maltin***: "David Mamet's scorching, profane, Pulitzer Prize-winning play...is faithfully reproduced (Mamet did the adaptation himself) with a gallery of stunning performances. Pacino is dynamic as the office hot-shot, Lemmon totally credible as the loser, and Baldwin is dynamite (in a part created especially for the film) as an insultin "motivator". Never succeeds in being anything but a photographed play, but when the play and the actors are this good it's hard to complain."
