New Stuff: Esquire

Strange mag, a bit like Vogue but for men. At least it has Kate on it. Our friend Tanja brought this from London for me.

Fool's Gold (2008)

A new clue to the whereabouts of a lost treasure rekindles a married couple's sense of adventure -- and their estranged romance.

Quite unfunny and haphazard treasure hunt comedy, quite a waste of the talent involved.

Maltin **1/2: "Needlessly plotty romantic comedy is notably unfunny at first but gets livelier and more engaging as the treasure hunt kicks in. Beautiful scenery helps."

It's hot as hell in Martirio, but the papers on the porch are icy with the news.

R.I.P. George Duke

Sorry to hear that George Duke passed away, a great pianist I remember especially well from the 70s Mothers of Inventions formations. Besides playing piano and synth he alo had a great voice, best on "Inca Roads".
