Beyond (2012)

A detective teams with a tabloid psychic to track down a missing child.

The movie starts promising with atmospheric settings in the Alaskan landscape, but the good cast can't help raise this standard crime mystery full of the usual cliches.

Le sauvage (1975)

A woman flees her fiance in Venezuela and hooks up with a perfumer on the lam from his wife.

Lively French screwball comedy; the stars play fine, but the movie is too often loud and enervating.

Halliwell (no star): "A promising and amusing start is squandered in the tedious island sequences of this patchy romantic comedy, which does however leave one with the sense of freshness and optimism rare in the cinema of the seventies."

Maltin**1/2: "Nothing special, but easy to take."
