Coffin Rock (2009)

A woman unable to conceive a child with her husband, despite 15 months of trying, makes the drunken mistake of sleeping with a young stranger.

The cast is good, but overall this is a standard psycho-thriller about a woman harassed by a psychopath.

First Lines: Thomas S. Kuhn - The Structure of Scientific Revolutions

History, if viewed as a repository for more than anecdote or chronology, could produce a decisive transformation in the image of science by which we are now possessed.

Zoolander (2001)

At the end of his career, a clueless fashion model is brainwashed to kill the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Deliberately silly, but actually entertaining spoof with lots of stars cameos; the cast seem to be enjoying the show.

Halliwell*: "Energetic farce that aims to be a satire on pop culture, but is too toothless for the task."

Maltin**1/2: "Clever comedy...Funny gags, satiric ideas, eye-popping production design, and celebrity cameos...make this fun for a while, but it can't sustain an entire film."

Astérix et la surprise de César (1985)

Obelix falls for a new arrival in his home village in Gaul, but is heartbroken when her true love arrives to visit her and the lovers are kidnapped by Romans.

Likable, slightly funny, but not too exciting adaptation of the original comic book.
