Blue Desert (1991)
Two men rattle a comic-book artist who has moved to a desert town after her trauma in New York.
Ridiculous thriller, the criminal acting without any plausible motivation, and the subplot with the comics is risible.
Melancholia (2011)
Two sisters find their already strained relationship challenged as a mysterious new planet threatens to collide with the Earth.
An implausible plot fascinatingly turned into a existential tract.
