Unga Astrid (2018)
Biopic of Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren, the author of numerous children's books and creator of Pippi Longstocking.
This movie settles on a (rather dark) segment of the famous children's author's biography and does so with commitment, good period details and especially with some extraordinary performances.

Jurassic World (2015)
A new theme park, built on the original site of Jurassic Park, creates a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur, which escapes containment and goes on a killing spree.
This sequel to the Jurassic Park series doesn't add much to the formula, but is nevertheless professionally handled entertainment and offers some fun - especially when you're rooting for the dinosaurs.
On rewatching: Enjoyable old-fashioned entertainment with up-to-date special effects.

Edipo Re (1967)
Based on the Greek tragedy about a man who, unaware of his true parentage, kills his father and marries his mother.
Engaging, slow-paced retelling of the Greek classic, beautifully set in Moroccan landscape, is framed within a modern story which barely corresponds to the historic tale.
Halliwell**: "Austerely involving adaptation of the Greek tragedy, sandwiched between scenes set in modern Italy."
Maltin**1/2: "Pictorially arresting but dull, disappointing adaptation..."
