When her grandson is kidnapped during the Tour de France, an elderly lady and her beloved pooch team up with the Belleville Sisters - an aged song-and-dance team from the 1920s - to rescue him.
Wonderful animated feature, if not a bit slow-paced and taciturn.
It may be remarked that German state TV thought that showing this movie at 2am was probably the perfect screening time for its potential audience.
