Rosen für den Staatsanwalt (1959)

April 1945. Because he stole two bars of chocolate, the soldier Rudi is sentenced to death by the court-martial judge Dr. Schramm, but manages to escape from the firing squad at the last minute. After the war he bumps into Dr. Schramm again...

Classic post-war German satire that deals with the repercussions of the Third Reich. It's fairly entertaining, but the political stance seems lame and a bit dated.
