For the rest of her life, Charlotte Cleve would blame herself for her son's death because she had decided to have the Mother's Day dinner at six in the evening instead of noon, after church, which is when the Cleves usually had it.

Frasier, Season 3 (1996)

The plot of the third season explores a number of ongoing themes. It continues to highlight Frasier's tensions with his father, on wider fronts than just the home.

The third season season continues in the same high quality of sophisticated and slapstick comedy, at times wildly hilarious.

En solitaire (2013)

A fearless sailor finds his biggest race hindered by an unexpected stowaway.

Feelgood adventure drama with a slight political message, the high seas cinematography steals the show.

The Oxford Murders (2008)

At Oxford University, a professor and a grad student work together to try to stop a potential series of murders seemingly linked by mathematical symbols.

Good to look at, great actors and lovely locations don't help much with a convoluted plot with an impossibly contrived ending, and the pseudo-science (especially math and philosophy) utilized solving the mystery is an aggravating insult for anyone who uses a brain.

Mary and Max (2009)

A tale of friendship between two unlikely pen pals: Mary, a lonely, eight-year-old girl living in the suburbs of Melbourne, and Max, a forty-four-year old, severely obese man living in New York.

Quirky and heartfelt tale about true friendship also has some sparks of black humor, but in the end it is quite endearing.
