Music, Money, Madness - Jimi Hendrix In Maui (2020)

The documentary tells the story of the Jimi Hendrix Experience and their journey to Maui in 1970.

Released as a bonus to the cd album set of the same name this documentary very well reconstructs the event and the haphazard production of the Rainbow Bridge movie.

Z for Zachariah (2015)

In the wake of a disaster that wipes out most of civilization, two men and a young woman find themselves in an emotionally charged love triangle as the last known survivors.

Above-average doomsday melodrama is more focused on its plot and character development than cheap shocks, to its advantage.

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (2006)

A group of high-schoolers invite Mandy Lane, an innocent, desirable girl, to a weekend party on a secluded ranch. While the festivities rage on, the number of revelers begins to drop mysteriously.

Standard slasher horror flick with the usual cast of displeasant teenagers ends with an unprepared and silly twist.

Maltin*1/2: "Variation on a typical slasher film is boring and its characters obnoxious until a (sick) twist at the end, if you last that long. Mandy's character isn't explained or explored."

The Four Feathers (1978)

When British Lieutenant Faversham resigns his commission rather than fight in the 1882 Sudan war, his army pals present him with the four white feathers of cowardice.

Superior TV production of the popular novel is well-made with an appropriately selected cast, but is a bit lacking in the drama department.

Halliwell: "An effective TV movie..."

Das Wolkenphänomen von Maloja (1924)

The cloud phenomena of Maloja is a cloud bank that winds its way through the Alpine pass like a river.

Fascinating silent short documenting in beautiful b/ photography an unusual Alpine weather phenomenon.

The Killer Shrews (1959)

On an isolated island, a small group of people are terrorized by giant voracious shrews in the midst of a hurricane.

Ridiculous and poorly made sci-fi shocker hasn't much to recommend for itself; the real shock is seeing dogs appear in costumes as the "Killer Shrews".

Maltin**1/2: "...an inventive but silly sci-fi tale..."

Unsolved Mysteries, Season 2 (2020)

Immersive, character-driven stories are rooted in the experiences of ordinary people who have lived the unthinkable. Families, detectives and journalists hope viewers hold the clues to solving these mysteries.

Another, albeit shorter selection of not yet resolved crimes and occurrences gives both victims and their families/friends equal room as well as the investigators, but also includes some cases of supernatural phenomenons.
