Indeterminacy 118

When Colin McPhee found out
that I was interested in
mushrooms,
he said,
“If you find the morel
next spring,
call me up,
even if you only
find one.
I’ll drop everything,
come out,
and cook
it.”
Spring came.
I
found two morels.
I called Colin
McPhee.
He said,
“You don’t expect me,
do you,
to come
all that way
for two little mushrooms?”

aka
Dead Silence USA (video title)
Eiskalte Stille Germany (TV title)

Serial Mom (1994)

A sweet mother takes a little too much at heart for the defence of her family.

Wonderfully offbeat comedy about a Mom as a serial killer.

Misty Sutphin: He killed people, mom.
Beverly Sutphin: We all have our bad days.

Escape from New York (1981)

In 1997, when the US President crashes into Manhattan, now a giant max. security prison, a convicted bank robber is sent in for a rescue.

Cult classic sci-fi thriller credibly depicting an apocalyptic neo-punk future.

Who's That Girl?

Executive Decision (1996)

When terrorists seize control of an airliner, an intelligence analyst accompanies a commando unit for a midair boarding operation.

Average action thriller which is interesting for the pre-9/11 terrorist plot to use an airplane to destroy a building.
