Exhibition: Diego Velázquez

We also visited the Diego Velázquez exhibition at the Viennese Kunsthistorisches Museum. Again this was a very crowded affair, understandable considering the artist's relevance and - the value of the displayed works. It is indeed a very extensive display of his works. And although his most famous painting, Las Meninas, was only included as a reproduction, there were plenty of "Infante" paintings to study and admire and, in my opinion, were the highlights of the display.

Of course, we also took a round through the museum's permanent collection, since they have some great work to find there, but most especially, because they have a good amount of paintings by one of my most favorite artists: Pieter Bruegel the Elder.

Enduring Love (2004)

Two strangers become dangerously close after witnessing a deadly accident.

A quite construed story is successfully adapted as an intense psychological drama.

On second view I can still agree with my initial opinion.

Maltin ** 1/2: "Contemporary psychological study of not just love but the fragility of relationships and the world around us; worth checking out."
