The BFG (2016)
An orphan little girl befriends a benevolent giant who takes her to Giant Country, where they attempt to stop the man-eating giants that are invading the human world.
As to be expected from this director, all's well done in the production department, but this children's film lacks charm and fun for most of the time.
Mudbound (2017)
Two men return home from World War II to work on a farm in rural Mississippi, where they struggle to deal with racism and adjusting to life after war.
Excellent period drama with a great ensemble and grandiose cinematography is intense, gripping and at times heart-wrenching, especially in its depiction of everyday racism.
