Dame Edith Louisa Sitwell DBE was a British poet and critic and the eldest of the three literary Sitwells. She reacted badly to her eccentric, unloving parents and lived much of her life with her governess.

In an attempt to colonize Mars, 21st century scientists seed the planet with algae to absorb sun light and purify the atmosphere, and cockroaches who in turn spread the algae as they feed. 500 years later, the first manned mission to Mars loses contact with Earth, and a second ship is sent to investigate.

This madcap movie is a fireworks of CGI effects and action, but the many twists in its narrative (and in logic) are devoid of any credulity and thus have no impact; it may all be tongue-in-cheek, but you'd never notice it.
