A Song a Day

Frank Zappa - Black Napkins

As you may know I've always been a fervent Zappa fan. Actually I admire his early 60s works the most. Besides being a great musical innovator he is highly admired as guitarist. There is some dispute how good he was on the guitar, no doubt he truly knew how to play. But even if you don't count him among the giants on guita, I always thought that his solos were exciting and revealed him as composer while playing improvisation. This particualr solo we used to sing to, it was available on a bootleg, and now I find it at YouTube. We always found his "Thank you thank you thank you AND GOOD NIGHT" funny. Now you can see it!
