New Stuff: CocoRosie


So far I've been a fan of CocoRosie from the start and haven't missed an album yet, although this time I only heard the news about the new album a day before its release.

So how is it? I like their first album a lot; I got it after catching them opening for Devendra Banhart, and being very impressed. But everything they've done since then has just magnified the more annoying and grating qualities of their music, while downplaying the low-key charm that drew me to them in the first place.

And damn, that has to be one of the most off-putting album covers I've ever seen.

Hi, Ed, you caught me just as I'm listening into the album for the very first time. So far it's mixed, but it does have some moments, need to hear it more often.
And I couldn't agree more about the cover, I was almost embarrassed to put it online:-)
