Detective Sherlock Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson engage in a battle of wits and brawn with a nemesis whose plot is a threat to all of England.
The classic Victorian detective downgraded to contemporary cinema blockbuster standards; the sets are quite spectacular, though.

Very short and sweet review of the movie. As put it aptly, the movie is a disservice to the fans of Sherlock Holmes and possibly Sir Arthur Conan Doyle himself.
