Hang 'Em High (1968)

When an innocent man barely survives a lynching, he returns as a lawman determined to bring the vigilantes to justice.

Competently made standard Western with an interesting take on the revenge theme.

Halliwell (no star): "Hollywood's first attempt to imitate the gore and brutality of spaghetti Westerns and to take back its own errant star. Emetic and interminable."

Maltin **1/2: "Slick American attempt at spaghetti Western comes off fairly well."
