The Invasion (2007)

As a Washington psychiatrist unearths the origin of an alien epidemic, she also discovers her son might be the only way it can be stopped.

Although fairly well made this space invasion thriller adds nothing new to the genre.

On second view:
I still agree with my initial opinion: the movie is an above-average variation on Invasion of the Body Snatchers with a disappointing happy ending.
