Although we have been to Vienna fairly often, we so far had missed out on visiting the Sigmund Freud Museum (same goes for London). This time we finally decided to do so.
The museum is actually Freud's former home and practice, before he left for London at the age of 82 fleeing the Third Reich regime, and I did know that it had a very limited scope. Indeed there were only very few original pieces of furniture and the documentation consisted mostly of photocopied illustrations and photos.
As a special exhibition the museum presented the work of New York artist Brandt Junceau which occasionally disrupted the actual historical ambience of the rooms (intendedly), but I was not impressed.
