Ordinarily (that is to say, since their arrival in the country, ten days before) they were all driven, each accompanied by an interpreter, in private cars, the large black kind that has gathered curtains stretched across the rear window, but this time they were ushered into a bus which, in the wake of a police car, not traveling at any excessive speed, though still not neglecting to run the light at every intersection, finally arrived in front of an ordinary-looking building and the fifteen passengers were invited to leave the bus.
