La mort en ce jardin (1956)

Amid a revolution in a South American mining outpost, a band of fugitives are forced to flee for their lives into the jungle.

Although a quite entertaining  conventional adventure movie on the surface, Bunuel manages to create a subplot of moral ambiguities and to set many minimal touches of surreal imagery.

Maltin***: "This may have been a "commercial chore" for the great Buñuel, but it's fascinating nonetheless."
