Even without being a fervent fan there was no way not having felt Lou Reed's presence, and I mean from the 60s to this day. You can't overestimate The Velvet Underground's consisting influence, Walk on the Wild Side is on constant run on our Geman radio, Metal Machine Music still manages to puzzle its listeners, and there have been so many projects that have been slated by the press and fans. But Lou Reed never cared, he just went on doing his thing. And that's what being an artist is all about.
