Rarely Heard: Altered Images - Dead Pop Stars

Before the Scottish New Wave band Altered Images got streamlined for international success with a sugary pop sound, they did some great dark post-punk tunes in the vein of Siouxsie and the Banshees. Actually Siouxsie was the one who got them to a start with a contract, but their first singles with their orginal sound never did well. "Dead Pop Stars", their second single, gained controversy for its release shortly after the assassination of John Lennon.
